Abstract

This thesis explores the concept of authenticity and its influence on individual identity formation, interpersonal relationships, and broader social dynamics. Authenticity, often defined as the alignment between an individual's actions, values, and beliefs, has been a subject of interest in psychology, sociology, and philosophy. This study critically examines the theoretical frameworks surrounding authenticity, as well as empirical evidence that highlights its importance in modern society. We investigate how authenticity contributes to personal well-being, enhances social cohesion, and impacts societal norms, particularly in the context of globalization and digital communication.
